The Green Party Conference in Rostock
A few weeks threatened the party conference in Rostock to be very boring. The Greens were in opposition, again in 5th Place, but something stronger. So no coalition agreement, but also no reason for loud lamentations – one might think.
But it turned out with time, that obviously many – and especially many in the reformer / Realoflügel from what they were there to listen to the incumbent leaders in party and parliamentary group on election night and the days after, does not represent all felt. Thus it came gradually to several requests regarding the “Green opposition,” of which I of “storage application” was most dear and which I had worked on a modest scale, he expressed it most clearly that the party about camp across perspectives have to work for a government contribution. This application has already been formulated as yet, no one knew where the journey in the Saarland went so far as was the labeling “Jamaican applications” in this and other applications of course the usual leftist propaganda.
But ultimately this was of course a major difference to the previous position. Our proposal also provides for a guttuenden vortex ahead of the BDK. An application of the Federal Executive was submitted which would have become without our drive along with many of his supporters never differentiated Sun Further, really good applications, some even bearing across as that of Al-Wazir/Bell strengthened this position of independence even more. And Renate Kuenast, the days had been in the Leipzig newspaper people have a “clear statement of Jamaica” was requested by the BDK, and a steep learning curve, because at one time they also sought the way to the center.
Why do I tell the history so excessive? Because they constituted the major part of the BDK. Major changes of position were obtained either by de facto already anticipated acquisitions or modified in the case Künast or first right of decision in the Saarland. The still necessary extensions were essentially reproduced in the applicant meeting the request of the Federal Executive. The remaining disagreements were not so large that one reason – even on the day of promulgation of the black-yellow coalition results – vote battle with the Federal Board would have to provoke. The objectives were achieved.
The BDK was therefore probably more boring for many, as one might have expected. What excited me in this regard has been a bit, or actually acting objectively representative of the left wing, who argued that the applicant had been afraid of the base. Not only that almost all targets were met and compromises must be praised like, no: The leftists have always had a selective perception of the base. Real basis for decisions (IE, with involvement of all members) in any case were usually much more pragmatic in their decision as to the mean functionaries occupied delegates conferences. Be it the 90% support to black-green in Hamburg or the national board structure reform, which was recently modernized with a strike vote because the BDKen were too timid reform. It is worthwhile to consider possibilities for more direct participation by members and in decisions of the Federal Party to consider seriously.
But back to the BDK: were eagerly awaited actually only the appearance of the Green Party Chairman Saar Hubert Ulrich, who in my eyes (and apparently also in eyes of his critics) much applause and booing was little heard. A clear sign that the delegates referred to independence are more than many (wannabe) functionary thinks. Discussed here, including sympathetic Jamaican proof of love * the Green Youth *
