You should do some research first. Learn about the brokers in the area where you are interested to buy a house. Check out references from the broker and see what previous customers or clients have to say about the broker. Some people who can help you are independent or part of a larger organization. You may recognize the name of the company but you should not rely on the reputation of the company without doing background research.
You can check newspapers, websites, and recommendations from people you know to see who the best possible mortgage broker. At least you should be able to narrow the choices to a select few brokers.
